Alto FX is an FX intelligence layer for SMEs and other companies managing real-world foreign exchange exposure. It combines live FX rates with pre-built specialist calculation tools directly inside Claude, helping finance teams analyse and manage FX without relying on separate market screens, spreadsheets or calculators. Finance teams can retrieve indicative mid-market spot and forward FX rates for budgeting, forecasting and FX planning, as well as look up historical spot and forward rates for specific dates, times and value dates. The pre-built tools can also analyse completed FX transactions by comparing the rate achieved with a bank, broker or payment provider against the prevailing mid-market rate at the time and estimating the monetary cost of that difference. Alto FX can also calculate indicative mark-to-market valuations for outstanding FX forward contracts. Claude can interpret natural-language requests and information from spreadsheets or documents, structure the relevant FX inputs, and use Alto FX to perform the underlying specialist calculations. Alto FX is designed for CFOs, Finance Directors, treasury teams and other finance professionals managing international payments, currency exposure and FX risk. The service provides indicative FX rates and calculation outputs only.
