BUMIT enables Claude and other AI agents to verify Swiss businesses using authoritative information from Swiss public sources. Through the verify_business MCP tool, agents can: Verify a Swiss company's existence and legal status using commercial register information from Zefix. Screen businesses against available Swiss SECO sanctions data. Check available FINMA authorisation information. Identify companies by Swiss UID or exact registered legal name. Receive structured verification outcomes, evidence, source attribution and freshness information. Identify ambiguity, missing information and unavailable checks instead of assuming a company is verified. BUMIT uses deterministic verification rules and provides transparent, machine-readable results that help agents make informed decisions in procurement, supplier onboarding, counterparty due diligence and business workflows. The service currently focuses on Swiss businesses. Verification does not establish beneficial ownership, signatory authority or complete regulatory compliance. To simplify access, no BUMIT account, API key or payment is required to access the MCP service.
