CrimeMapsUK
CrimeMapsUK publishes the street-level crime records that police forces release on data.police.uk, assigned to postcode districts by nearest postcode. This connector gives four read-only tools. Crime figures for a postcode district: the last 12 published months for a district such as E8, with the monthly series, the categories and the covering police force. Given a full postcode, it answers for the whole district, never for the exact postcode. Rank postcode districts by published crime rate: districts in England and Wales ranked by published records per 1,000 Census 2021 residents, with the counts behind each rate. How CrimeMapsUK builds its figures: coverage, approximate locations, postcode assignment, rates, rankings and how to cite a page. Crime counts around a postcode: the published records in the 0.5 km around a postcode over the last 12 published months, with the largest category. A CrimeMapsUK API key adds every category's count. The free figures come from a snapshot up to six hours old, and keyed figures from one up to 15 minutes old, so they can differ briefly after new data is published. Every answer carries a link to the CrimeMapsUK page for the area, a citation and the Open Government Licence attribution. The figures are counts of published police records, not all crime, and police locations are approximate by design. Rankings order published rates and are not safety ratings. No account is needed.
