DoubleTaxation
DoubleTaxation (doubletaxation.app) tells an individual which country they are a tax resident of, and where their income is taxed. Claude asks the user the same questions as the website, one at a time: permanent home, family, centre of vital interests, days of presence, citizenship. The answers go to a rules engine, which computes the result. The result is not generated by the model. The result includes: • conclusion and a reliability score; • how the domestic law of each country treats the person; • the treaty tie-breaker (Art. 4) and any conflict between the two laws; • which taxes apply in each country, in plain language; • legal basis with links to the statutes and treaty texts, plus relevant court decisions; • optional per-income rules (salary, self-employment, pensions, dividends, interest, royalties, capital gains, rental income and more): which state may tax it, treaty rate limits, the method of relief, and an illustrative calculation; • a link that opens the same result on doubletaxation.app, where it can be saved as a PDF. A separate tool shows the tax burden on a salary in 21 countries (OECD Taxing Wages method), including special tax regimes for individuals. Coverage: 12 versions, each written for taxpayers of one home country and in its language: Ukraine, United States, Poland, Czechia, Romania, Hungary, Türkiye, China, India, Japan, Bangladesh, Pakistan. Each version checks the home country against 20 other countries. Tools: list_versions, list_countries, check_residency, tax_burden. All tools are read-only. No account is needed. Privacy: answers are processed in memory only and are never stored or logged. The result is general information, not legal advice.
