Find Any Footage
Find Any Footage finds real archive footage for a video script. Describe the shot you need, such as "a 1950s family watching television" or "a rocket engine test firing", and it returns matching shots from public-domain films held by the Prelinger Archives and NASA, each with its start and end time inside the film, a preview image, the licence and the source page. Every shot in the index has been described from its frames, so a search finds the moment in the film, not just the film. Nothing is AI-generated: every result is the archive's own footage. Tools: • search_footage finds shots matching a description, with optional decade, colour, archive and live-footage-only filters. • get_shot shows a shot's details, the shots around it, the licence and the archive field the licence was read from. • get_clip cuts the shot from the archive's best copy into a trimmed H.264 MP4 and returns a download link (kept 7 days). • check_clip returns the link for a clip that is still being cut. • credits writes the credit lines for a set of shots, ready for a video description. • my_usage and whoami show the signed-in account, its plan and downloads used. An account is created the first time you sign in (email or Google). Search, previews and credits are free, with 10 clip downloads a month. A Pro plan with 300 downloads a month is described at findanyfootage.com/pricing. Licences: only items with a public-domain record are indexed, and each result shows that record. NASA produced features whose soundtracks may include licensed music are marked and their clips are muted. Search text is kept for 31 days to improve the index; the connector doesn't read your conversations, memory or files.
