Finology Software is the federal student loan planning engine used by financial advisors who work with client debt. This connector gives Claude read-only access to that engine on the federal repayment rules in effect since July 1, 2026: the Repayment Assistance Plan (RAP), the new tiered Standard plan, IBR, ICR, and the closures of SAVE and PAYE. Three calculations, no account, no key: - Compare every federal repayment plan a loan can elect: monthly payment, lifetime cost, forgiveness timing, and the estimated tax on forgiven balances. Plans the loan cannot elect are listed with the rule that excludes them. For Parent PLUS debt the tool also runs the consolidation path unprompted, because that is the number that decides. - Estimate a RAP monthly payment from income, filing status and household size. - Compare filing jointly against filing separately on the loan side, and say plainly what the comparison does not model. Every figure is computed by an engine that is parity-verified against a reference oracle on every release, stamped with the rule version and date in effect, and returned with the eligibility rules that produced it. Nothing here is generated: the numbers come from the same calculator that produces client reports inside Finology Software. Every tool is read-only and stores nothing. Built for the questions an advisor hears every week: which plan should this client choose now that SAVE is gone; what will RAP cost them; does filing separately change the answer; can this Parent PLUS borrower reach an income-driven plan at all. Figures are for education; the tax on forgiven balances is an estimate at today's brackets.
