Groundwork
Groundwork measures the market around any U.S. location for people buying, opening or running local businesses. Connect your Groundwork account and ask Claude about a site in your own words; Claude runs Groundwork's reports and writes up what they show. Site report: residents, households, incomes, age, housing, jobs and daytime population in 1, 3 and 5-mile rings; what households spend a year on your business type; competitors, chains and density against the state, with the nearest by name; income growth; SBA loans; traffic on the roads at the site; and new homes permitted in the county. Market report: every business of one type within up to 25 miles, each measured by the market around it. List independents, chains or one brand, and sort by spending per location, income, growth or competition to find shops to buy or under-served areas. Compare sites: two or three sites side by side, each figure with its percentile among U.S. neighborhoods, and a 0 to 100 similarity score for each pair. Groundwork covers 55 business types, from auto repair and collision to restaurants, salons, dentists and real estate. You need a Groundwork account. Reports spend actions from your Groundwork plan, the same as on the website, and asking again about a place within 12 hours costs nothing. Groundwork receives only the places and business types Claude asks about, never your conversation.
