HonestDog helps people in Germany get a dog responsibly. Ask about a breed and see HonestDog's breeding-health grade (S–E) with its rationale, the breed's known hereditary diseases, and the health tests the breed club requires breeders to run. Search HonestDog's directory of approved breeders by breed and German state or city, or find shelter dogs currently up for adoption. Results appear as cards, each linking to the full page on honestdog.de, where you contact the breeder or shelter directly. HonestDog connects buyers and adopters with breeders and shelters — it never sells dogs and never transacts. For breeds with breeding-related health problems (Qualzucht), HonestDog deliberately lists no breeders and instead explains why and points to healthier alternatives or adoption. All tools are read-only and return only data that is already public on honestdog.de. No account or sign-in needed.
