instore answers "where can I buy this today?" for physical stores. Ask Claude for an item near a place, and the connector checks the live shelves of real stores and returns the ones that have it in stock right now, with the price, the street address and the distance, plus a link to see sizes, get directions or save the item. Stock comes from each store's own inventory system, not from a web scrape or an estimate, and is refreshed through the day. Availability is reported per store as in stock or out of stock, never as a unit count. Coverage is strongest in New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco, across partner brands and public brands with per-store stock, and grows as stores join. Three read-only tools: - search_nearby: an item, a place (or coordinates) and optional size, price range and radius. Returns matching products and the nearest stores that have each one. - get_product: every store that has one product, with the sizes in stock. - get_store: one store's address, hours when known, and what it has on the floor today. No account or sign-in is needed. instore receives only what Claude sends to a tool (the search text, the place and any filters) and keeps a record of connector searches for 12 months to improve results and apply fair-use limits by IP address.
