Lovkart (Norwegian Laws)
Requires a free Lovkart account during the test period — register at lovkart.no. Lovkart is a map of Norwegian law. It connects statutes, regulations, preparatory works (forarbeider), Supreme Court decisions and the EU/EEA acts that apply, or are expected to apply, in Norway, based on how they cite each other. Claude follows those links the way a lawyer would: from a section to its amendments, the preparatory works behind it, and the case law that applies it. - Look up any section by name or citation - Check what’s in force now and which adopted changes haven’t taken effect yet - Find the Supreme Court decisions (from year 2000 to today) that cite a provision, and see how later courts used them - Read the preparatory works behind a rule: bills, committee reports and NOUs - Read EU/EEA acts article by article as they’re incorporated into Norwegian law, and check the status of EU acts not yet in the EEA Agreement, such as the AI Act - Find the right complaint body for a matter, with deadlines and fees - Every answer links to Lovdata, Stortinget, domstol.no or EUR-Lex. Lovkart only sees the lookups Claude makes, never your conversation. A research tool, not legal advice.
