NEAR Registry connects Claude to the National Emergency AED + Resource Registry (NEAR), a registry of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) and the lifesaving supplies stored with them. Ask Claude where the closest AED is, or what's available around a place, using an address, a place name, or coordinates. Results come back nearest-first with the distance and location details. You can also narrow a search to AEDs that have naloxone (Narcan), epinephrine (EpiPen), or a bleeding-control kit on hand. What you can do: • Find the AEDs nearest to a location • See every listed AED within an area, such as a venue, campus, or neighborhood • Get details for a specific AED: where it is inside the building, which supplies it has, and whether it is available at all hours • View a photo of an AED's location, where one is on file • Look up the registry's privacy policy and how to cite its data Only publicly listed resources and public fields are returned. Some AEDs are in locked cabinets; access codes are never shared through this connector, but a 911 dispatcher can provide them. No account or sign-in is required. In an emergency, call 911 first.
