ONYST RVG connects ChatGPT to the fee engine behind the ONYST fee calculator for German lawyers. ChatGPT no longer estimates fees under the German Lawyers' Remuneration Act (RVG): it asks the engine, and every item comes back with its fee number (VV), rate and calculation. What you can do: - Calculate fees, expenses and VAT for a matter, or for several matters with credits between them, for example a payment order procedure followed by a lawsuit. - Determine the value in dispute, for example for tenancy, maintenance or dismissal cases. - Look up fee numbers, rates and required inputs in the fee schedule. - Find the route between two addresses for travel expenses, with a map and the distance as an expense item. - See an invoice as a draft in your firm's layout, then issue it as PDF or e-invoice (ZUGFeRD), along with a calculation sheet. Documents arrive as a download link that is valid for seven days. - Find recipients in your address book and read or update your firm's invoice details. ChatGPT asks before every change. Results appear as interactive views in the chat: the calculation, the value in dispute, the fee schedule, the route, the invoice draft with its pages, the finished invoice and the documents to download. Who it is for: law firms and legal departments in Germany. You sign in with your ONYST account; new users can create one during sign-in. The calculation tools work with every ONYST account. Whether invoices, calculation sheets and the distance for travel expenses are available depends on your firm's ONYST account. Limitations: ONYST RVG calculates lawyers' fees under the RVG; it does not calculate court fees. The results are a calculation, not legal advice. Whether a fee applies in the individual case and whether a discretionary rate is appropriate remains the lawyer's responsibility.
