PDFKing compresses PDFs that are too large to email, upload or attach. How it works: because assistants cannot pass a file you attached to a chat on to a tool, you upload your PDF at pdfking.app/connect-ai and it gives you a short code like PK-7F2QX9. Tell your assistant "compress PDFKing file PK-7F2QX9" and it returns a download link. The file itself never passes through the conversation, so there is no size limit imposed by the chat and no token cost to you. Choose how hard to compress: low keeps images untouched, medium is the balanced default, high produces the smallest file. Image-heavy and scanned documents typically shrink by 50-75%; a text-only PDF that is already well optimised may not shrink at all, and PDFKing will say so rather than pretend otherwise. Page count, page order and text are never changed, and your original file is never modified. Privacy: files are uploaded to PDFKing's servers to be processed and are deleted within 60 minutes. Handoff codes work once and expire after 30 minutes. Nothing is shared with third parties. You can disconnect the assistant at any time from your PDFKing account, and access stops on its very next request rather than when its token expires. A free PDFKing account is required.
