PlainSite is a legal and financial research database built from public records. This connector puts it inside Claude, so you can research litigation, lawyers, companies and the law in conversation instead of across a dozen browser tabs. What you can do: • Find cases by party, case number, citation, patent number, attorney or judge, then read the docket: parties, counsel, entries, and the text of each filing, page by page. • Search the full text of filed documents and court opinions, across PlainSite or within a single case. • Look up attorneys, law firms, judges, courts and companies: case histories, clients, judges and outside counsel, and the related dockets that carry a case from trial court through appeal. • Check every citation in a brief against PlainSite's database before you file it. • Read statutes and regulations, USPTO patent and trademark assignments, SEC filings and insider trades. Data comes from PACER, PlainSite Recycler browser plug-ins, CourtListener, state courts and agencies, the USPTO, the SEC, the IRS, and the GPO. Opinions report how much of the underlying case PlainSite holds, so Claude can tell a record PlainSite lacks from one it has. Basic searches work without an account. Other tools include a daily free allowance, then ask you to connect a free PlainSite account. PlainSite Pro adds jurisdiction filters for full-text search, unlimited document retrieval when refreshing a docket, and filings longer than 100 pages. Sealed, expunged and pardoned cases are never returned. Apart from two actions you ask for, following a case, company or tag for e-mail alerts and asking PlainSite to fetch newer filings for a docket, the connector only reads. Opening an opinion or exporting a case can also add PlainSite's topic tags to that record.
