Rent-a-Skip: UK Skip Hire Prices and Permit Rules

Rent-a-Skip is a UK skip hire price comparison and information site. This connector gives Claude read-only access to the same public data that is published on the site, through four tools. get_skip_prices returns indicative price ranges (low, median and high, in GBP) for each skip size in a covered town or UK postcode area. get_permit_info returns the council skip permit rules for placing a skip on a public road: fee, permit period, notice needed, renewal, application link and the date the information was last verified. recommend_skip_size recommends a skip size for a job from its type, waste type and scale, with capacity and weight guidance. check_coverage says whether a UK town is covered and returns the town page link and county. Prices are indicative ranges based on June 2026 research into local skip hire prices. They are not quotes, and the firm price is confirmed on a short phone call. The connector cannot place, book or pay for an order. Booking happens by phone with the local independent skip hire company covering the area, using the number shown on the relevant town page. Coverage is England, Scotland and Wales; Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man are not covered. No account or authentication is needed. Requests are rate limited to 60 per 5 minutes per IP address.
