The Retail Payment Methods Transparency Index, published by EcomStream, records which payment service providers offer each payment method to merchants established in the EU, Norway, the United Kingdom and Switzerland (Cyprus and Malta excepted), per country where shoppers pay and per channel: online, in-store, or online and in-store. Every price is given as the provider prints it, with the pricing model and the date it was read at source; where a provider publishes no price, the answer says so. The connector also describes how a method works (where shoppers pay with it, chargeback exposure, who may refuse a payment, why a payment can fail, and any fee the method owner charges directly), lists every price one provider publishes, and gives the scope of the index.
