Sphera Credit Data
Sphera Credit Data brings the Canadian interest rates that commercial real estate lenders and mortgage brokers work with into Claude, with the source, date and methodology of every value. Series available: - Government of Canada benchmark bond yields for 2, 3, 5, 7 and 10 years and the long-term bond, daily since 2001. - CORRA, the Canadian Overnight Repo Rate Average, daily since 1997, with its compounded index and 30, 90 and 180-day compounded averages. - Canada Mortgage Bond yields and initial spreads at each syndication since 2024, and a daily estimate of the 5-year and 10-year yields. - The Bank of Canada policy rate, the prime rate, chartered bank rates on non-residential mortgages and their spread over the 5-year Government of Canada yield, inflation (total Consumer Price Index, CPI-trim and CPI-median) and the US dollar exchange rate. What you can do: - Look up any series and its latest value without signing in. - Get the history of up to ten series at a time, aligned by date, for any date range, as daily, weekly, monthly or annual values. Claude asks you to sign in with Google, Microsoft or a code sent to your email the first time it needs a history. - Ask how a series is defined, sourced or calculated. Every series carries its methodology: source, definition, calculation, timing, caveats and references. - Download the full history of any series as a CSV file for Excel or Power Query. Limitations: - Read-only. It does not quote loan rates, publish lender pricing or give financial advice. - Values come from the Bank of Canada. Series labelled as Sphera estimates, such as the compounded CORRA averages and the daily Canada Mortgage Bond yields, are calculated by Sphera Credit from Bank of Canada data and are not observed market rates. - Long histories are converted to a coarser frequency to keep answers short. The answer says so and links the full CSV file. - Canadian data only. Sphera Credit is not affiliated with the Bank of Canada.
