TapTax is Making Tax Digital software for UK sole traders and landlords. Connect it to Claude and ask in plain English: how much tax you owe so far this year, what still needs reviewing, or to log a receipt from a photo. With your TapTax account connected, Claude can record income and expenses, correct categories, clear your review queue, log business mileage, and create, send and mark invoices paid, all in your own account and under your plan's rules. When a quarterly update is due, Claude prepares the cumulative figures and shows a card with a button that opens TapTax on the right period, where you check the numbers and file to HMRC yourself. The self-employed tax estimate, PAYE tax code checker, MTD eligibility and deadline tools work without an account. You sign in on taptax.co.uk, choose read-only or read and change access, and can disconnect at any time in TapTax Settings. TapTax never files to HMRC, moves money or reveals your bank or HMRC logins through Claude.
