topo^alpin
topo^alpin brings the conditions in the Alps into the conversation: the current avalanche bulletins of all 16 official warning services, a mountain weather forecast for ten days, live readings from weather stations, mountain huts, and ski and snowshoe tours. Ask for a summit, hut, pass or town in German, English, French or Italian, and the answer is for that place and its elevation. The danger level comes with its elevation band and time of day, the forecast is computed for the elevation of the place from six weather models, stations come with their distance and height difference, and tours with their grade, steepness and avalanche terrain. Every answer names its source and licence, says how old its data is, and links to the report, tour or hut in the topo^alpin app. Avalanche bulletins are given report by report, as the warning service wrote them: topo^alpin never turns them into a go or no-go. Free, no account needed.
