Ultimaps Map Maker
Ultimaps Map Maker turns your data into map images: choropleth, category and territory maps of countries, states, counties and US ZIP code areas. Describe the map and paste your figures or lists, and the map is shown in the conversation with a legend and a button to open it in Ultimaps Studio. What you can make: - Data maps: numbers per country, state or county become a choropleth, with color breaks computed from the data and, on request, values printed on the map. - Category maps: languages or religions by country, the countries you've visited, or passed, pending and no action, state by state. - Territory maps: a state's counties, or whole states, colored by sales rep, team or dealer, with the names in the legend. - Service-area maps: the counties you serve, split into core, extended and coming soon. - Footprint maps: countries or states where you have offices, customers or partners, with pins for locations. - Outline maps: a clean map of any country, state or county set with names, ready to color or print. Every map comes with a title, a legend, optional region labels and pins, and one of 10 themes. Region names can be given as names or codes, and many typos are matched. Names that can't be matched are listed in the result. Coverage: 180+ base maps, from the world and every continent to the states and provinces of major countries, the counties of every US state, and US ZIP code areas (based on US Census ZCTAs). Borders come from published geographic boundary data, not drawn freehand. Who it is for: students, teachers, researchers, journalists and travelers; sales and operations teams, franchise and dealer networks; healthcare, nonprofit and public-sector organizations mapping their service areas; and anyone who needs a map for a slide deck, a report, a class or print. Keep going in Ultimaps Studio: recolor regions by hand, move labels, change the legend, export the map, or publish an interactive map with tooltips to share or embed on a website. Limitations: - Administrative regions only: countries, states, provinces, counties and US ZIP code areas. No street maps, routing, directions, satellite imagery or city neighborhoods. - Real places only; no custom or hand-drawn boundaries, and one base map per image. - Pins are placed by coordinates. ChatGPT can supply them for well-known places; street addresses are not looked up. - Images are PNG up to 1600 px wide, carry a small Ultimaps credit, and are rate-limited to about 30 per hour. - Each map's link can be opened by anyone who has it, so keep confidential figures out of maps you don't want shared.
