Zovo Spreadsheet Checker
Check a spreadsheet for errors before you import it, send it or report from it. Zovo Spreadsheet Checker reads a CSV or Excel file (or a table you paste) and lists each problem cell with its row, column and the value as written, so you can fix the file instead of hunting through it. With no setup it works out what each column holds from its values and headings, then runs the checks that fit. It finds dates that do not exist (February 30, April 31, month 13, February 29 in a non-leap year), dates written in the other day/month order or in a different format than the rest of the column, ambiguous dates, invalid email addresses and likely domain typos such as gmial.com, phone numbers with the wrong number of digits, duplicate IDs and duplicate rows, blank cells in columns that are otherwise filled, text and placeholders like N/A in number columns, numbers stored as text, mixed decimal marks (12,50 next to 12.50), leading and trailing spaces, the same category spelled two ways (Open and open), IDs and ZIP codes that lost their leading zeros or turned into 1.2E+15, formula errors such as #N/A, and row totals that do not add up (Q1 + Q2 + Q3 + Q4, or quantity times unit rate), compared with decimal math that does not round. For data validation you can add your own rules such as required columns, unique columns, allowed values per column, numeric ranges and total formulas like Amount = Qty * Rate. You get a health score per column, counts per check, the first issues in the chat, an Excel copy with problem cells highlighted (red for errors, yellow for warnings) plus an Issues sheet and a Summary sheet, and a CSV of all issues found. For an Excel file the copy is your own workbook with the flagged cells filled in and two sheets added, so formulas, number formats and the other sheets stay as they were. For a CSV file the copy keeps each value as text, as it was read. Good for CRM and email-list imports, payroll and invoice exports, survey results, inventory lists and any spreadsheet you are about to send to someone else. It works with CSV, TSV and .xlsx files (save older .xls files as .xlsx), one sheet per check, up to 50,000 rows and 200 columns. It checks format and consistency; it cannot confirm that an inbox or phone line exists. Formulas are read as their last saved values.
